Well-being Support advocates for mental health across all UNOPS offices through prevention and promotion activities, such as capacity building, mental health literacy events, stigma reduction and information about and referrals to crisis or counselling services.
You may contact Well-being Support if you feel stressed by a work-related or personal situation. We will then connect you to the right psychosocial support for your specific case e.g., crisis counselling (individual or group), therapy via own insurance, Stress Counsellors on the ground whenever present, or other.
All UNOPS personnel, no matter their contract type or duration, have access to free, confidential short-term crisis counselling, which focuses on minimizing the stressful impact of an event, providing emotional support, and improving the person’s coping strategies. Crisis counselling does not replace longer-term psychotherapy.
The support provided focuses on increasing your ability to manage the situation. We cannot help to resolve the situation by intervening.
If you wish to receive psychosocial support, contact wellbeing@unops.org via email. All interactions are completely confidential.
